ALDI Supermarkt/Grocery Store kommt nach Texas
DISCOUNT GROCER BREAKING INTO NORTH TEXAS MARKET
DALLAS (Dallas Morning News) –
German-owned discount grocer Aldi Inc. plans to have at least 25 stores in North Texas by spring 2010, but so far it has confirmed only eight locations.
The company’s initial list includes two stores in Garland, two in Dallas and one each in Richardson, Plano, Pantego and Rowlett.
Last summer, Aldi began building a $40 million, 500,000-sf distribution center in Denton to support stores in Texas and Oklahoma.
Aldi has operated limited-assortment grocery stores under the Aldi banner in the United States since 1976. It now has more than 1,000 stores and operates in 29 states.
The 10,000- to 17,000-sf stores carry meat, produce and dairy and 1,400 private label products at prices the company says are as much as 50 percent less than those found in traditional supermarkets.
Ich kann's nicht abwarten bis Aldi endlich auf macht

I am so excited that Aldi is opening their stores in the Dallas area. I shopped Aldi stores when I lived in Germany and do every time now that I go to a state in which there is an Aldi store. Go Aldi!!

Yes, would be great! However, we had Aldi in New Jersey, and it was by far less exciting than either Aldi Nord or Aldi Süd in the Germanz I grew up in. However, the owner of Aldi also owns Trader Joe's now, so perhaps we get the best of both?

We are so excited that we will finally going to have our own Aldi here in Rowlett, Texas! The only trouble that we see so far is that it won't be ready until after Weihnachten. So we will have to drive a few hours to get our Lebkuchen.

our sister and just love shopping there.
I saw that you are opening on Preston and Alpha. When will that store be ready
